When we first met The Jewel Group, they were preparing to launch The Sunset Jewel — a quiet home in Joshua Tree that needed more than design help. It needed a soul.
We joined early, guiding branding, interior design, and guest operations to shape not just a look, but a feeling. Every element — from the color of the walls to the tone of the welcome book — was chosen to evoke the warmth and ease of desert living.
The response exceeded expectations. Bookings filled quickly, guests connected deeply with the experience, and soon there was a new challenge: how to grow this success without losing its heart.


A growing collection of retreats.
Following the success of The Sunset Jewel, we partnered with The Jewel Group to bring two more properties to life — La Casa Estrella and Rockbound Ridge.
Each home offered a new expression of the brand:

The Sunset Jewel — soft, warm, and sunlit, capturing the calm glow of Joshua Tree evenings.

La Casa Estrella — celestial and moody, with deep blues and reflective metallic tones that echo the night sky.

Rockbound Ridge — clean, modern, and grounded in desert minimalism.
Across all three, we built distinct personalities that still felt undeniably connected — three properties, one heartbeat.
Each home had its own rhythm, but together they told the same story — of stillness, sunlight, and space to breathe.
We designed with restraint and intention, allowing the desert itself to guide each decision. Natural textures, gentle color palettes, and thoughtful flow through each space created a guest experience that felt relaxed yet refined.
From the interiors to the websites, every touchpoint was crafted to enhance the experience.

Behind the scenes, we worked with The Jewel Group to align operations across all three properties: consistent messaging, cohesive digital systems, and guest resources that made the experience effortless from booking to checkout.
Our goal was to help the team scale sustainably — keeping the same warmth and attention that made The Sunset Jewel special while preparing for future growth.


The success of The Jewel Group’s portfolio wasn’t just measured in bookings — it became a case study in how thoughtful design and cohesive branding can create real value. Within a few years, all three homes were sold to new owners who fell in love with the same story we helped build.
